Lisa’s journey as Tarot for Empowerment has been one of trust, growth, and deep connection. What began as a personal curiosity has evolved into a calling that empowers her and others to embrace possibility and purpose.
Following the signs
Lisa was spiritual from a young age, but her interest in tarot developed later in life. While working in the corporate world, she began looking for ways to connect more deeply with her intuition. “It just seemed like things related to tarot kept finding their way to me,” she recalled. That curiosity led her to an online class, followed by studying with teachers, courses, and books. “I love learning, so that was the beginning of a wonderful rabbit hole,” she said.
Some of Lisa’s favorite events to work are Halloween parties, though she’s provided readings at everything from large corporate gatherings with thousands of guests to intimate private celebrations. No matter the size of the crowd, her goal remains the same: to give every person her full attention. “I want to make the most of my time with each person — really listen to them, connect to their energy, let them share or ask questions, and provide them with a highly personalized reading,” she explained. “You’d be amazed at what I can do with five minutes!”
Empowering others
Lisa approaches tarot with heart and sincerity, seeing it as both a calling and a source of purpose. It took her years to feel comfortable sharing this part of herself, but she now finds deep fulfillment in helping others gain clarity through her readings. “I work with tarot as a means of helping people see possibility and potential mostly in their present-day situations, even if that’s finding ways to deal with a challenge,” she said.
Of course, tarot often comes with misconceptions. Some see it as dark, superstitious, or even “playing God.” Lisa is quick to address those concerns. “The truth is, like every other tool, it depends on how it’s used. A hammer can break or it can build,” she explained. For those hesitant about booking a tarot reader for their event, she offers simple advice: “I would encourage them to be open-minded and not be too influenced by portrayals of Tarot in movies or TV… guests really love it and it gives each person a special experience they’ll probably always remember.”

GigSalad: How did you first hear about GigSalad, and what made you decide to join the platform?
Tarot for Empowerment: I heard about GigSalad from a psychic development teacher I was studying with, and I joined immediately. I started getting leads soon after, and the rest is history. I absolutely love it. It’s so easy to use and really helps vendors be seen by prospective clientele.
GS: In what ways has GigSalad impacted your career as a tarot reader? Do you have any standout gig experiences through the platform?
TE: It’s given me a level of visibility that I wouldn’t have otherwise, and showcases my photo gallery, videos, and at this point a collection of 5-star reviews from verified clients. I’ve booked some epic holiday parties, corporate events, and galas on the platform. One of my favorites was the IKEA Grad Bash!

Client communication
GS: How do you increase your chances of being hired when responding to leads? Do you have any techniques or response methods that seem to work best for you?
TE: I’m a naturally organized person and worked in corporate for many years, so I am on top of my leads. I usually respond within 15 minutes, and will utilize messaging through the platform as well as calling and texting. I personalize my responses and try to include information up-front that I feel will be important to the event. Once a booking happens, I touch base regularly with the client in case there are any changes, additional requests, or just to reassure them that I’m prepared and dependable. My goal is for them to relax and feel like I’ve got my end of things covered.
GS: Your past clients have written outstanding reviews for you! What do you do to ensure you meet their vision and provide a smooth reading?
TE: I’m a clear communicator, and after doing this for so long I have a good idea of what questions to ask, what they might need but don’t know yet, and most importantly to bring the love and passion for what I do to every event.

Words of wisdom
GS: What piece of advice did you receive from a mentor early in your career that impacted you?
TE: To let my own style emerge naturally, and to trust myself. As a psychic doing a reading, there’s a real mystery to what happens in that moment I pull a card. I have to trust that what I’m feeling is right for the person in front of me, and let it flow. It’s in those moments that truly wondrous things happen.
GS: Do you have any suggestions or tips for tarot card readers who’re new to GigSalad?
TE: Get comfortable with being photographed, and start to gather photos of yourself doing readings that you can use on the platform. I’m a very private person, so it took me a while to be at ease with the marketing side of my business. It’s such a huge part of it though. Now, I always ask clients if I can receive access to any media galleries, and most are very happy to share.
