Dr. Bill Harned has concertized in Italy, France, Macedonia, and Canada. He specializes in classical piano music but can perform in all styles. He received his Doctor of Arts in Piano Performance with a secondary emphasis in Collaborative Piano from the University of Northern Colorado. He has taken piano lessons from 8 professors and also took lessons in organ and harpsichord. In 2019 he played color keyboard for the Bigfork Summer Playhouse in Montana, rotating four musicals throughout the summer.

February 16, 2020Bill Harned was a wonderful pianist and did a great job for our event. He was very professional and flexible with changes for the event. I would definitely hire him for another event in the future.

I believe that it is the passion that I communicate in my music that separates me from other performers. The passion within classical music can be great. It is the performer's duty to bring that out and show it to the audience.
I grew up in Mississippi. After finishing a BS in Computer Engineering I went back for music. I finished my Master's in Piano Performance at LSU. I then moved to Colorado and studied Music Therapy at CSU for 2 years. Now I am in my 3rd year towards finishing my doctorate in Piano Performance at the University of Northern Colorado.
I tend to prefer playing Romantic style piano music. Also, I can play jazz and popular styles as well.
I prefer a concert grand though I can provide a digital piano for $40 extra.
