Overview
I am a singer songwriter from the greater Memphis area. I have countless hours of gigging experience, some of which include gigging on tour in Spain, playing locally, singing national anthems for the University of Memphis, and gigging around with my band. My early life in Memphis has influenced my sound to create a soulful blend of Country, Rock, Soul, and R&B. Many people say that my sound is "a little like Broadway, a little like Beale." We have booked the Houston Kelly Band twice now for outdoor, spring events, and he was the perfect fit for us! Easy listening, great to sing along to, engaged the crowd, and entertaining for the whole family. Hoping to book again and again!

Houston & his band are incredible. Not only is he a talented musician and performer, but he is so great to work with! Houston played at a large sorority event for Phi Mu at Auburn last fall, and he was fantastic. He was an excellent entertainer, able to perform a wide array of genres along with his own material.

About
Houston Kelly is native to Memphis, Tennessee. He has been making music for a decade and some change. He has toured around the Mid-South and internationally. He is a published artist on all major streaming platforms. He wants to thank his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for his ability to perform wherever he may be playing! His sound is best described as a love child between Broadway and Beale Street. Growing up in Memphis led his sound to become one of blues and gospel, and his love for country music led him to pick up some country nuance! His band is comprised of friends from years of making music and are nothing short of astounding musicians. Houston Kelly and his band hope to work with you for whatever gig you are booking!

Influences and inspiration
It is difficult for me to decide a short number of acts that have influenced me. I like to think of my sound as a mix between Broadway and Beale Street. There's a little soul power from Beale in Memphis, and a country twang from Broadway in Nashville.
