What to expect

Battlefield to Boardroom is about applying “battlefield” concepts to career or business goals.
It is unique because it shows how to use three concepts that are at the heart of the National Security field to achieve business or career goals in a highly-competitive environment.

1. Establish Battlefield Credibility to get in “The Game”: By the end of the session, attendees will be able to take a leadership role by earning credibility in their workplace or community. Attendees will learn how credibility impacts both military leadership and life-and-death decisions in industry. They will have basic building blocks to make the cost/schedule/performance trade-offs needed to exceed the expectations of customers, supervisors, subordinates, and peers.

2. Rise above competitors using the Military premise, “If you can’t get the little things right, you won’t be trusted to get the big things right”: By the end of the session, attendees will be able to take a leadership role through disciplined attention to detail. Attendees will learn why the military emphasizes uniform inspections and how Gemini recovered from an $11 Million mistake. They will be able to define their own plans, standards and metrics to avoid careless mistakes and minimize the impact of “Murphy’s Law”.

3. “Picture the Win” to get the courage to face challenges and achieve goals: By the end of the session, attendees will be able to take a leadership role by demonstrating the courage to make decisions in challenging situations. Attendees will learn military core values that enable individuals to face challenges and execute a mission until its done, and how these values were critical to professional growth and business success. They will be able to follow a process to systematically determine near term goals and choose a course of action.

Using film, history and examples from her experience, Victoria Bondoc inspires attendees to use these concepts to meet challenges, and rise above competitors. Audiences come away with a sense of “mission” and plan for success.
