With a background in theatre, live entertainment, public speaking, and event hosting, Melissa knows how to connect with a crowd and keep guests fully engaged. She has performed at high-profile trade shows, theme parks, professional Equity theatres, children’s theatre companies, baking webisodes, and cruise ships around the world.

Melissa also has more than 20 years of experience working with children through summer camps, birthday party entertainment companies, prestigious acting schools in Los Angeles, after-school enrichment programs, and community outreach organizations throughout the United States.

Today, Melissa brings all of that experience together through Baking with Melissa, where she hosts interactive baking birthday parties, Cupcake Challenge Parties, cupcake decorating parties, cooking parties, and corporate baking team-building experiences throughout Los Angeles and the surrounding areas.

She also hosts virtual baking and decorating events for corporate teams, employee engagement, client meetings, holiday celebrations, and groups around the world.

Melissa arrives prepared with the ingredients, dishes, decorating supplies, and materials needed for your selected baking experience. She leads the entire event, explains each activity clearly, and keeps your party guests engaged from beginning to end.

Technical and setup requirements vary depending on the party you choose. Most experiences require sturdy tables with enough space for each participant to work comfortably. Chairs may be needed for some party options, while others are designed to keep guests standing, moving, creating, and interacting. Baking parties also require access to a clean, working oven.

Outdoor events may be available, weather permitting. The party area should be shaded, protected from wind, and located near the home or event space so Melissa can easily access the setup area and any appliances needed for the experience.

Before the event, Melissa will confirm the specific table, chair, oven, electrical, and space requirements for your selected party. Please have the party area cleared and ready before her arrival so she can begin setting up right away.
