Great Wedding Reception!

They were great musicians and everyone had fun swing dancing to the bluegrass! We had a lot of guests originating from Tennessee, and they all had a blast dancing to Rocky Top and felt like a piece of home was at the wedding.

Amazing Bluegrass band!

So grateful that AppAlaska Bluegrass could come to our corporate Harvest Festival the end of September 2022. They entertained the crowds with the most amazing music! We had a lot going on at our event but I know that everyone that got to experience their talents really enjoyed them. We are so grateful they were able to come to our event. They added to the wonderful atmosphere at our event. Some of the band got into some traffic getting to us but they ended up staying and performing longer than required to make up for that. They didn't have to do that but we really appreciated that. We would highly recommend them.

Booking information

What to expect

Driving traditional Bluegrass with some songs thrown in that the audience is sure to know and love. A professional band who dresses the part, shows up when they say they will, and whom the audience will grow to love.

About

Scott Norris was born in Anchorage Alaska and has been exposed to bluegrass since before he was born, being from a musical family. He had a career in the maritime field which allowed him to study bluegrass all over the country and the world. Two years ago he decided to start playing music full time and has been headlining festivals all over the country ever since. He made his home in the Salt Lake area with his wife Toshia to further that career, and started AppAlaska Bluegrass with his old friend and band mate Randy Paisley, who is from Grassy Creek NC, which is right in the Blue Ridge (or Appalachian) Mountains. Randy is related to the famous Ola Belle Reed, who wrote many a famous bluegrass and old time song. Hence, AppAlaska Bluegrass! The band is rounded out by local talents Tyrell Allan on guitar and tenor vocals, Dylan Schorer on guitar and dobro, Hudson Bosworth (who trained under Wyatt Rice) on mandoline and guitar, and Juliett Camille on mandoline and fiddle.
