I am a storyteller of sacred truths, born in Chicago during the Jim Crow era and raised between the Windy City and Junction City, Kansas. As the eldest girl of six siblings, a mother of five, and a proud grandmother of 19 (with great-grandchildren still arriving!), my life is rooted in intergenerational love, hard-earned wisdom, and divine grace.

But my journey has not been easy.

I survived childhood trauma, abuse, expulsion from school in the 8th grade, and systemic violence—including being shot in the head while pregnant with my second child. Denied medical and prenatal care due to racism, I became a single mother navigating pain with nothing but my faith. Yet, despite all odds, I earned two Master's degrees with honors, became an Ordained Minister, and have served faithfully in ministry for over 20 years.

I believe deeply in the power of testimony. What God has done for me, I am confident He can do for others. My life is a living sermon on redemption, resilience, and radical love.

🎭 Theatrical Work

My original play, Ms. Jane Speaks, debuted at the Sankofa Theatre Festival in Rochester, NY. The piece blends spoken word, ancestral wisdom, and my lived experience to bring healing and clarity to audiences navigating grief, identity, and faith. I also perform poetry and storytelling that spans the globe—from Africa to America, from personal testimony to public witness.
