Hi there, I'm a professional violin/fiddle player with over 25 years of experience, ready to help make your wedding or special event unforgettable! I can do wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours (strolling violin is always an elegant vibe), receptions, and more. I can take special song requests or provide my own chosen repertoire, depending on your preference. My specialties are jazz improvisation and fiddle playing, but I'm also comfortable with classical, pop, and other styles. Let's discuss your vision for your event and make it happen the way you want!

Andrew and his quartet gave our wedding ceremony a classy and elegant touch. He is incredibly talented, flexible, and even learned a song we liked to make our day even more special. We’d highly recommend him for any event!

What to expect
More than anything, my goal is to give you the specific musical experience you're looking for! If you have a certain vision in mind for how you want your wedding or special occasion to go, I want to help you bring it to life. Maybe you want a Bridgerton-esque vibe, with classical covers of modern pop songs. Or perhaps you want a more stately atmosphere, with Pachelbel's Canon in D or a Bach prelude. Or maybe you want to liven up your party with an Irish jig and other fiddle tunes! Whatever your dream is, I can make it come true for you. I have two decades of experience playing wedding ceremonies, and I especially love to create custom arrangements of special songs for couples. Whether it's the song you first danced to, or kissed to, or a song that mirrors the story of your relationship, I love learning what "your song" means to you so I can craft a unique arrangement of it for you to walk down the aisle to!
About
I began my lifelong journey of playing the violin when I was 4 years old, and my love for it has only increased over time. I was trained in classical violin performance all the way through my 4-year experience at Calvin University. I grew to love playing with orchestras, string quartets and other small chamber ensembles, and as a soloist. In middle school I started playing fiddle music, playing at folk festivals and winning accolades in fiddle contests. In high school I began playing at weddings and other special events, and further expanded my repertoire to other popular styles. As a college student, I studied music theory and composition and participated in many ensembles, including orchestra, jazz band, and a string quartet. My passion is creating special experiences and memorable moments through music. Whether I'm playing as a featured entertainer, an accompanist, or just strolling around in the background, I always bring my best performance and professionalism to a gig!
Additional booking notes
I'm happy to play indoors or out, however I will require a covered performance area outdoors if it's raining (at least 8' x 8', approximately). My acoustic wooden instrument does not get along with water!
I can play acoustic/unplugged, or I can provide my own amplification, whichever you prefer. I have a guitar amp and a pre-amp pedal that I can play through, all I would need from you is access to a grounded electrical outlet and extension cord if necessary.
Lastly, though this probably goes without saying, I ask that there be no competing house music or DJ playing while I perform. More than one musical thing happening simultaneously is just overstimulating, you know?
Set list
