Amplified is a mixed voice, student-led a cappella ensemble from the University of Arizona. The group was founded in 2012 to create a fun, close-knit community of people who love to sing, create, and perform. We perform a range of songs from some classic hits such as 'Blame it on the Boogie' and 'Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing' as well as more dramatic songs such as 'End of Us'.

We would love to provide entertainment for your event. We primarily do performance-based events rather than birthday parties, but we are open to anything – just reach out!

Amplified is a mixed voice, student-led a cappella group from the University of Arizona, donning the Ampli-colors: black and La Fonda Turquoise. (Yes, it is that specific shade!) The group was founded in 2012 to create a fun, close-knit community of people who love to sing, create, and perform. Amplified always aims to tell stories that reach beyond the meaning of the songs on their own, in order to create a more impactful experience.
Amplified has continued to grow within the world of a cappella since its founding. In 2019, the group released their first professionally recorded EP "Welcome Home" and has since released their first full length album "In Between" which received four Contemporary A Cappella Recording Award Nominations and won a 2022 CARA Award for Best Original Song by a Scholastic Group. Amplified has had continued success in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella — they are six-time ICCA Semifinalists and had the amazing opportunity to compete in ICCA Finals in 2023.

When booking with us, please confirm your microphone situation with us. We are not as picky with lighting! Our full group usually has around 15-16 members with a need for a microphone for at least soloist, vocal percussionist, and bass. It is preferred for you guys' to have at least 6-7 microphones to start, but the more, the better. While Amplified does have our own sound system, it does require a lot of work for us to bring our system. If you would want us to bring our own system, we will most likely charge extra.
For staging, the area just needs to be large enough for an ensemble of 15-16 people. We usually stand in an arch for our performances, but if we need any extra blocking informations (dependent on our setlist and your wants), we will confirm that with you.

When booking with us, we are able to provide you with the songs our group is working on for the year or have available in our repertoire. We will ensure the set list we choose is perfect for your event!
