The term performance varies depending on the location, occasion, and event. As a performing artist, my priority is to help my audience participate in the joy that I experience while I perform. To me, flexibility and spontaneity are the fuel of a successful performance. And this makes each collaboration unique, be it with fellow artists or programmers and planners. My goal is to generously offer my music and create beautiful moments.
Amir Norouz-Nasseri is a composer and violinist who has worked with orchestras like the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra and the Parsian Chamber Orchestra, as well as ensembles such as Balance Campaign, Tehran Baroque Music Atelier, red fish blue fish, Palimpsest, En Route, i/0 String Quartet. They have performed in venues including the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, hizome in DC, 2640 Space in Baltimore, Conrad Prebys Music Center in San Diego, Zebulon in Los Angeles, and Aix Cathedral in Aix-en-Provence.
Amir is a two-time awardee at the Nahal Short Film Festival for their film compositions and the first-prize winner at the National Festival of Youth Music in Tehran. They were a fellow at the Roshan Institute of Persian Studies from (phone number hidden)3, focusing on Khorassani Maqam music. Currently, they are pursuing a DMA at the University of California, San Diego.

My musical journey has been a long and diverse one. Starting from traditional Persian music to classical music and historical performance and later on my enthusiasm for contemporary music and electronic music have all had a huge influence on my musical identity. The music I make and the way I play is undoubtedly inspired by all of my past experiences.
