About
Leah Natale, winner of the 2013 Seattle Kobe Female Jazz Vocalist of the Year, and a two-time nominee for Earshot Magazine’s Vocalist of the Year, is highlighted as the group's “defining element” by Earshot Magazine. Leah discovered jazz in college while singing with a Black music ensemble. Following graduation, she continued to play with several jazz bands throughout the Midwest, and after moving to Seattle, she made a longtime dream happen by recording her debut album My Someday with a full 10-piece jazz orchestra. Two years later, she released Second Set recorded with Ambience Jazz, followed by Swing Easy, a collection of jazz standards.
Chris Busa started his musical career playing with Top 40 bands throughout Southern California. While in college, he was overheard playing in a practice room by the director of the music department and was asked to audition for the school’s jazz band. He soon became the section leader. After graduating, Chris became an established jazz musician on the West Coast, until a medical issue impaired his ability to play the tenor saxophone. He was able to resume his career after he discovered the unique electronic woodwind instrument (EWI) and its diverse range of wind instrument sounds.
