Bossa In Wonderland is an acoustic jazz band playing jazz standards and funky originals in a Bossa Nova and Swing Style. Look us up on Youtube, and listen to some of our studio recordings below!
Our members: Trish Savage (lead vocals), Jay Freeborne (guitar), Marty Goldstein (congas, drum set) Phillip Orosco (saxophone), and Eric Benson (bass) with an occasional supporting cast of violinists and trumpeters.
We would be honored to play at your wedding, company or house party, fundraiser, or venue. We feel that a good show involves connection and an interactive audience, and we have a lot of fun.
Come groove with us, and bring out your inner Bossa!
We look forward to hearing from you...
The music was a good fit for my event, so that was a positive. My concern was that after about 45 minutes of play time and with a room full of guests, I couldn't find the band. Anywhere. Finally one band member appeared and when asked were they were he said they took a smoke break. Our event went longer than expected and while the band fulfilled their contract (which is what they were hired to do and they did just that), they were not at all flexible. Often times vendors are and can accommodate changes, but not this time. The music fit, they were all nice, and they arrived well prepared, but walking away from a room full of people to smoke was not so great.
Response from Bossa in Wonderland:
Thanks for your positive review of our music and communication about the event timing issues. It’s clear that we both had different understandings of when we were supposed to perform. Nonetheless - we had a good experience and thank you for the privilege of performing for you.
We had Bossa in Wonderland play for my husband's 60th birthday party and they were great. We had fun, the music was a perfect complement to our celebration. I would recommend them for any event and thank you, Bossa for being part of our party!
Bossa in Wonderland played our NYE party - they were communicative and professional leading up to the night, and then they positively delighted all of us. I look forward to working with them again in the future!
Very gregarious and fun! First to arrive was the drummer - very loquacious and outstanding guy - as were all of them. Our guests raved about the band that night and also in thank you notes we received afterwords. I was running around and hardly got to hear them, but heard they played a couple requests, which was fabulous. They even got a few of our guests to dance despite the fact we were all crowded inside from the rain. A vivacious, crowd pleaser you won't regret hiring!
Bossa in Wonderland was the featured band at the Kline Galland Home's Mothers Day Tea last Sunday and they were a HUGE hit, appealing to old and young alike. We look forward to attending some of their other performances as we enjoyed their music so much.
Response from Bossa in Wonderland:

Monty - thanks for your collaboration - you're awesome to work with. Overall, It was a fantastic experience for us.
Fantastic job, very easy to work with, and everyone enjoyed their sound. Thanks!
Bossa In Wonderland was awesome and exceeded my expectations. They showed up early to set up, and they were friendly and professional the entire hour and a half. The music was wonderful and had guests asking if they had an CDs for sale. They mingled with our seniors during intermission and after the concert. You could tell they truly enjoy playing music and performing. I hope to have them back in the future.
I had the pleasure of hearing this great band perform at different venues. Each time they were outstanding. They create a fun, romantic, and upbeat atmosphere. This is not your typical Jazz performance. I do not prefer Jazz music, but I sincerely enjoy their music. I would classify it as upbeat Jazz. There are always individuals dancing and enjoying each other’s company as Bossa performs. They truly create the right mood. I highly recommend them for different events!!!
I have had the pleasure of this band 4 times in 3 different venues. A brewery twice, Christmas party in a private home and my favorite place to hear them; a wine bistro.
They have an eclectic mix of standards and original material that makes for an always interesting and entertaining show.
I would recommend these amazing musicians for any occasion. Preferably with a smooth glass of Merlot!
