Amareedthetruth

Jolie "Amareedthetruth" is a Spoken Word poet, storyteller, emcee & motivational speaker. She started slamming at 15 & has competed against such names as Jasmine Mans & Danez Smith. As a youth she slammed constantly & qualified herself for the Wisconsin State Youth Poetry Slam in 2009. She attended IAIA & joined a local all male Indigenous rap group (as the only female) called True Pride Music in 2009 including Indigenous rapper Nataani Means. Her latest endeavors include opening for Native rock band Indigenous July of 2019. Jolie is captivating, energetic and whether she is performing a poem, a rap or speaking, the power and resilience in her message is sure to bring hope to anyone.
