I put together bands to meet the needs of the event. As such, I can meet many different needs.

Need soft background music for an upscale event? I can provide solo piano music to create just the right atmosphere.

Need something with a little more energy? How about a jazz piano trio with drum and bass accompaniment to liven up the mood.

Want to put on a show and get people dancing? How about a 6 piece funk band playing modern hits from Michael Jackson and D'Angelo?

That's the great thing about jazz musicians - we are so flexible!

I’m a jazz pianist based in Los Angeles. I perform throughout the city every week — hotel lounges, restaurants, private events, and jazz rooms — and I’m currently building a trio to play my own arrangements.

I hold a DMA in jazz piano performance from the University of North Texas. My dissertation, The Guaraldi Sound, documents the musical devices that define pianist Vince Guaraldi’s idiom, and my listening-based history of jazz, Survey of Jazz Recordings, is available on this site. I can also be heard on recordings with San Jose soul group The Anachronistics.

Unless you happen to have an acoustic piano on site already, the only thing I need is electricity to power my keyboard and amp(s).
