Overview

Alastair Watt is a stand-up comedian and storyteller with sharp wit and small-town mischief. He’s appeared on Chicago P.D., Chicago Med, and The Weather Channel, and has performed at iconic venues like The Second City Chicago, iO Theater, The Annoyance, and Laugh Factory. Alastair mixes personal stories with quick, clever observations about life’s weird little moments. Smart without being smug and bold without being crude (unless you ask nicely), he leaves audiences laughing, connecting, and maybe even texting their moms.

An excellent night of laughs.

The night pertained of great comics, an excellent view of the city (including the bus stop) and quick staff. A series of local and traveling comics was a great way to end to end pride month. Id see any show hosted by Alastair in the future.

You might not have heard of AL, but you will...

I had the chance to see AL while in town...

I'll tell you- There’s a difference between someone telling jokes and a comedian who can take a room full of strangers, draw them in, and make them feel like old friends all privy to an inside joke.

Als humor has heart.

He has a way of slipping in little truths about life, family, and the ironies that comprise the human experience making the whole crowd yell out in affirmation and cry laughing.

Who needs P90X my abs are SOOOOOOOOORE.

When you experience one of ALs shows you get to forget your stress and share pure joy with the rest of the audience.

I walked out lighter and happier.

A Man of Unflinching Dedication

Alastair digs deep into our souls, wrenching our hearts and minds as he weaves us along with his highly captivating and yet, at their core, relatable stories, punctuated with heady and at times, outrageous, bits. We find ourselves on a common emotional playing field, watching him navigate everyday scenarios with the imagination of a mystical child god and yet the wisdom of a new father. This man captivates, inspires thought patterns that stick with us long after the show ends. Al was meant for the stage, and the stage was meant for him. Truly a treat to see him do what he loves, we are lucky to have him share this with us!

About

Alastair Watt is a father, husband, and stand-up comedian whose sharp storytelling and offbeat charm have landed him on stages and screens alike. He’s appeared on NBC’s Chicago PD, Chicago Med, and The Weather Channel, and has performed at iconic comedy venues including The Second City Chicago, iO Theater, The Annoyance Theatre, and Laugh Factory.

Rooted in Michigan and raised between small towns and big cities, Alastair blends heartland grit with city-slicker wit. His act weaves together personal confessions, dad-life observations, and a healthy dose of nostalgic absurdity — making every set feel like catching up with that one friend who has way too many stories, and you’re here for every one of them.

When he’s not on stage, Alastair produces comedy festivals, hosts live events, and develops a docu-series celebrating overlooked towns and the stories they create.
