Rt. Rev. Dr. Richard Wagner is Archbishop for the Lutheran Orthodox Church Archdiocese of the Mid-Atlantic based in Philadelphia, PA. His diocese covers Philadelphia, the District of Columbia and the states of Delaware and Maryland. He is a member of the LOC Council of Bishops and sits on the LOC corporate board as Executive Vice President. Bishop Wagner is the retired interim pastor of Christus Victor Lutheran Church in Fayetteville, NC and was in residence at Agnus Dei Lutheran Orthodox Church in Fayetteville. He is currently a facilitator in a GriefShare ministry in New Castle, DE in addition to his duties with the Lutheran Orthodox Church. Bishop Wagner currently also serves as a supply pastor for Trinity Lutheran Church in Clarks Summitt, PA. Bishop Wagner has a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from West Virginia State University, an MBA in marketing from Almeda University, a doctor of theology from St. Luke’s School of Biblical Studies and an honorary Doctor of Divinity from the Lutheran Orthodox Church.

Bishop Wagner had a secular career of more than 40 years in broadcasting, advertising, and marketing. He is experienced in motivational speaking, teaching crisis communications and trade show design and development.
