Dinner party music is all about setting the right ambiance. Music that is not so loud or hectic that your guests can't chat, mingle and enjoy their meal, but not so slow that the room starts to lull. We provide the right balance with jazz, pop, blues, and swing that is cool and sophisticated without taking over. We perform songs that didn't make the cut for your dance reception to be handled by your favorite DJ. Hire a duo, trio, quartet, or full band with female vocalist. What to Expect
Accidental Red came highly recommended by a restaurant that is also well known for the different music genres they offer so I trusted their judgement. Right at my first encounter, the band immediately knew what was needed for this type of event. The music despite it being a background one, was soft, yet engaging. At times, the rhythmic intensity was exciting but never overwhelming, and the different compositions were very effective as it provided a smooth transition between the tempos. Thank you, Accidental Red members for helping us making our Firm 40th Anniversary Gala a very memorable one.

We booked Accidental Red for Oktoberfest at Cascades Overlook Town Center and they were a BIG hit! The families who attended just could not get enough of their great music. Their performance is thoroughly professional and the music is fantastic. They kept playing after the event ended since no one was leaving. We can’t wait to have them for another event.
Fred Snowden, Property Manager, from STERLING, VA
Accidental Red was perfect! They are talented, pleasant, professional and accommodating. They did an excellent job performing at our "Jazz in the Park" event, and I received tons of compliments for having selected them. Everyone loved their music! In preparation for the event, they were extremely responsive and reliable. They brought their own equipment and accommodated our outdoor venue. They arrived well ahead of the event to set up, and played even longer than agreed upon. I strongly recommend Accidental Red and would definitely book them again.

The Band was fabulous and catered to the residents in a very unique way. They interacted, sang songs of our residents’ era and clearly had a love for their group and bringing joy to their audience. Every instrumentalist was extremely talented. The band had clearly practiced well and exhibited a great blend and balance in their performance. We truly enjoyed their smooth way of sharing of their talent and we hope to have them back in the future. Pam Phillips, ED Arden Courts of Annandale Assisted living for those with memory impairment

Accidental Red performed for a summer concert for the Town of Occoquan and did a fantastic job! They were very professional in spite of rain delays. The crowd enjoyed their music immensely, as did I, and I do not typically like jazz! Their song choices were great and they engaged the crowd. Would absolutely hire them again!

Kathy Farmer - Vocalist
Kathy has been singing forever in various styles of music, from classical to choral music to theater to jazz. She can be heard singing jazz in the greater Washington DC area as a solo performer, as a member of the singing trio, YazooZazz performing with the Tom Cunningham Orchestra, and as half of a singing duo, Pardon Our French. She is also a long-time singer with the Master Singers of Virginia a cappella choral ensemble and serves as a choir director and cantor at her church.
Karin Slawinski - Alto Sax and Flute
Karin’s influences, including Cannonball Adderley and Joshua Redman, can be heard in her buttery tone. Karin and her husband, AR keyboardist Zenon Slawinski, entertain at weddings and special occasions, and they also play in their church worship band, a contemporary rock and ballad group.
Zenon Slawinski (Keyboards)
Zenon’s playing reflects a wide variety of styles, from jazz to classical and pop. Zenon especially enjoys adapting popular hits from the past and present into contemporary jazz. On most Sundays he can be heard with the band at the church he attends.
Charlie Olson - Bass
Charlie picked up the cello in 3rd grade, and his musical career has included everything from symphony orchestras and string quartets to bluegrass, polka, jazz and r’n’r bands. Charlie currently performs with the Beltway Rockers, a popular local cover band.
Ron Mangas - Drums
Ron has been performing as a drummer since 1970. Highlights include shows at the U.S. Naval Academy, The Australian Embassy, The Barnes of Wolf Trap, and Hard Rock Café Baltimore.
