Abigael Castor, French Horn

Abigael Castor is a classically-trained French horn player with over 15 years of experience performing at the highest level.

Past prominent engagements have included performances with the Baltimore Symphony and for the Kennedy Center Honors in Washington, D.C.. Abigael has worked with such notable conductors as Marin Alsop, Gustav Meier, Luis Biava, Jamie Laredo, and Leon Fleisher.

Abigael is able to bring a great deal of musical diversity to the table through her experience in many different kinds of ensembles, including orchestras, chamber ensembles, brass quintets, big bands, and wind ensembles. She also performs as part of a horn and harp duo.

A graduate of the Peabody Conservatory, Abigael holds her BM and MM in Horn. While a scholarship student at Peabody, she studied with Peter Landgren, Denise Tryon, and Phil Munds. She has also worked with such notable horn players as Barry Tuckwell, Julie Landsman, Robert Rauch, and David Wetherill.
