Abbey Roemer - Violinist and Fiddler

Abbey Roemer is a violinist, fiddler and teacher based in St. Paul Minnesota. She received her Master’s degree in Violin performance at Carnegie Mellon University, and her Bachelor’s in violin performance at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin. Since an early age, Abbey has been fascinated by the versatility of the violin and the ability it has to speak dozens of musical languages in fiddle traditions around the world. In her professional work as a musician, she is passionate about sharing this versatility with audiences and students of all ages. Abbey loves teaching and maintains a thriving private music studio, and currently performs with the South Dakota Symphony and the Mankato Symphony, where she has served as Assistant Concertmaster since 2018. She also loves performing in pit orchestras and for special events around the Twin Cities, something she's been doing for over 15 years!
