July 4, 2024The best country band in the Bay Area!!
We hired Arron Burnham and the Brushfires to play at our wedding reception and we would not be happier! Aaron was extremely communicative throughout the entire process. He took note of what songs we liked and built two great sets around that. He also took requests which the band executed incredibly. On the day of the event the band was punctual and worked quickly to get set up and their sound dialed in. We couldn't have asked for a better band!

About
Aaron Burnham keeps the country troubadour tradition of Johnny Cash and Hank Williams alive with his original tunes and cowboy croons. With his backing band the Brushfires, Aaron will be sure to put some western swing in your step. Drawing on jazz standards, rockabilly, honky-tonk, and even a lil’ classical music, Aaron Burnham & the Brushfires conjure up a fresh but familiar sound. Echoing Marty Robbins & Buddy Holly, Aaron brings a rich, golden tenor voice not often heard in today’s country music.
Aaron originally hails from Livermore, California, a humble cow-town on the outskirts of the bay area with a rich history of rodeo, science, and winemaking. After many years of singing in choirs, studying classical music, playing in rock’n’roll bands, and working at a college radio station, his diverse musical influences brought him into the world of country music. His songs take the listener from the old west of silver screen cowboys to the honky-tonks of post-war Nashville, while themes of love, family and togetherness pervade his lyrics.
Joined by guitar virtuoso Jamie Duncan, upright bassist Erich Schickenberg, and drummer Charlie Knote, the Brushfires conjure a red-hot ensemble sound that keeps toes tapping and hips moving. Their sound is equally at home at a swing-dance night, a chili cook-off, a rock club, or a concert hall.
