Kevin Zimmerman was born in Toledo, Ohio on Feb. 4, 1960. He Joined the U.S. Army in November 1980 and retired in January 2000 as a highly-decorated 20-year veteran. While serving he received two (2) Soldiers Medals, the highest award given by Congress for an act of bravery while the U.S. is not declared at war. He was awarded the medals for walking through two highly infested landmine fields while serving in Bosnia-Herzegovina. His book "A Time for Everything; The Kevin Zimmerman Story, chronicles his life and the miraculous Bosnian minefield events. Due to noting US Medical involvement in world affairs, the book became a part of US Military and American history. In June 2012, the book earned a placement into the archives of the US Army Medical Department Museum, Fort Sam Houston, TX. In Jan 2013, the book was accepted into the library and achieves of the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of African American History and Culture, Washington, D.C. Kevin has appeared on numerous television and radio programs. He tours the country speaking motivationally, inspirationally and advocating for veterans, wounded warriors and their families. He is also the host of The Kevin Zimmerman Show on the Artist First Radio Network, which has grown to over 100,000 listeners worldwide. The Kevin Zimmerman Show is dedicated to US Service Members but applicable to all. The Kevin Zimmerman Show has featured a variety celebrity personalities looking to express their appreciation of our Service Members and listeners. He resides in San Antonio, Texas, where he works as the Deputy Program Manager of the Automated Neurological Assessment Metrics (ANAM) Program. He is married to his lovely wife MaryAnn.
