With over sixteen years in the music business; songstress Tia Singleton has established and maintained an extensive repertoire. Ms. Singleton, a native of Washington, DC, is an anointed vessel of God. From the age of seven Ms. Singleton knew the stage was where she belonged when she sang, "Oh It Is Jesus" before her church congregation. Ms. Singleton hails from a long line of singers on both sides of her family. She believes in giving God the very best that she has to offer every time she is given the opportunity to minister. From 1994 -97; Ms. Singleton actively participated in the Eastern Senior High School choir under the direction of Ms. Joyce Garrett. During this period of escalation the focus was on vocal training and development; in which Ms. Singleton excelled beyond her years. She exemplified the attributes of a rising soulful vocalist with firm roots in gospel. Ms. Singleton led the Eastern choir vocally in many concerts and plays while simultaneously actively participating with the Union Temple Baptist Church Choir; who won the first Quaker Oats Gospel Competition and also recorded a gospel CD titled "God Reigns." Ms. Singleton achieved all of this by the tender age of 14. At the age of 15, she became a member of a local female singing group Yu-nek (pronounced Unique). The group was known throughout the Washington metropolitan area; this experience increased Ms. Singleton%u2019s desire to become even more vested in her gift. She has matriculated in the art of gospel music through the teaching of gospel pioneers such as Wesley Boyd, William Hubbard, Raymond Reeder and Joyce Garrett. Ms. Singleton has embraced the blessings to sing and have traveled extensively with renowned recording artist such as Yolanda Adams, Angela Winbush, Maurette Brown-Clark, Myron Butler, Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson, Micah Stampley, Patti Labelle and many others.

Currently, Ms. Singleton is working on her very first solo project. She also lends her vocals in ministering with national recording artist Yolanda Adams; as background vocalist. On Tuesdays & Saturdays you can find Tia teaching vocal training to a class of about twelve people. In her attempt to give back she is a youth mentor, songwriter, and author of her own publication entitled: Circle of Power and is the Founder of "The Gathering" which is a ministry for women.
