I am a violinist of 16 years, classically trained. I perform standard classical repertoire as well as cover songs, pop, and jazz. I play all types of events and venues; weddings, private parties, kids parties, bar mitzvahs, store openings, art galleries, farmers markets, flea markets, theatrical productions, church services, you name it.
I play violin as a soloist, and typically spice it up with backing tracks that are played alongside me with an amplifier.

We hired Tamboura for a Holiday Festival and were completely happy with his professionalism and performance ! He was able to research music for the event and arrive well prepared. He prepared a musical repertoire that was perfectly tailored to our event. Everybody at the festival enjoyed his performance tremendously and he got rave reviews. About
I was born in the lower east side of New York City and began studying violin at age 6. I studied at the Third Street music school on 10th street and 2nd avenue. Ohhhh...the memories. I studied there all the way up until high school, where i switched my instructor to Betty Jean Hagen. During my high school years, I attended the Kinhaven and Interlochen music camps during the summers. And during my senior year, I played with the New York youth symphony. After college, I attended Pomona College in Claremont, California to pursue my undergrad studies. After a brief 1 year stint as a pre-med student, I switched to becoming a theatre major. I wound up graduating with a degree in theatre performance, moved out to nearby Los Angeles, and pursued acting. I pursued acting for almost a decade, and during the journey, put the violin down altogether. However, in 2009, after the long layoff, revisited the violin, and have since been playing full time. The magic was still in the fingers after the break, and I plunged myself back into playing the violin.
What I do: I street perform. I play in churches. I play at the Chado Tea room in Pasadena every Sunday, at the Melrose Trading Post in Hollywood once a month, and the occasional wedding and private function. I play classical mainly, but since picking it back up, have endeavored into other genres such as Pop and Reggae.

Classical and Covers. I.E. I will typically play mostly classical, like Bach or Vivaldi, and then mix in a Beatles song, or other types of popular music every now and again. So, 85% classical, and 15% popular.
