Why hire Strike A Chord?
Strike A Chord is a co-ed a cappella group with a varied repertoire. They perform show tunes, doo-wop, pop music, funk, and gospel, with some comedy in-between tunes. They have a set list for both older crowds (retirement homes, nursing facilities) and the general adult public (festivals, fairs). Some of their repertoire includes tunes by Sting, Stevie Wonder, Journey, The Nylons, The Beatles, Boyz 2 Men, George Michael, Peter Gabriel and many more. The group usually performs with 6-8 people, and has a positive and upbeat energy that audiences love.
Strike A Chord has been performing for over ten years. We started as a Disney tour, performing all over the East Coast of the US, Canada, and in Europe. We did a cappella music for fun on the side. Later, we started just adding a cappella repertoire, performing for smaller events and fund-raisers, and realized that we've got something. Now we are booking more extensively, performing for larger audiences, and having a blast bringing our eclectic mix of musical genres to people all over the eastern part of the US. We are open to singing most everywhere, and have sung fundraisers, Walk for Life events, assisted living and nursing facilities, VA homes, wedding cocktail hours, schools, street festivals...
We have our own sound equipment, but prefer to sing without amplification if possible.
