There is no denying Steve Waddington is THE top-rated #1 Dean Martin/ Rat Pack Tribute Artist in Southern California...but there's a lot more to this talented performer!
All the mannerisms, the voice, the wry humor and charming playfulness combine to make him one of the top professionals in his field. He sounds EXACTLY like "Dino" in his prime! Close your eyes, and you'll almost swear it was Dino singing all his hits. Open your eyes, and you won't believe how much fun you'll have watching this entertainer create the illusion of one of our most beloved entertainment icons. And, he sings in Italian!
In fact, Deana Martin (Dean's daughter) recently came to one of Steve's shows and exclaimed "...we LOVE how you do Dad's songs with such love and respect. You're not just an imitator, you actually made me cry".
He is currently co-starring in "A Tribute to Martin and Lewis" (the nation's ONLY Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis Tribute Show) as well as various Rat Pack shows, including Michael B. Levin's national touring "The Rat Pack Encore". For the last five years he has been one of the featured headline performers and co-MC at Hollywood's 'Feast of San Gennaro' (aka the Italian Festival) on the Jimmy Kimmel stage, and has performed for many functions and benefits for "The Sons of Italy" and various Italian Festivals.
He also has his own show, "Late at Night with Steve Waddington" (aka "From the Rat Pack to Rock & Roll"). He usually starts the show with his smooth Rat Pack style Dino, Sinatra, Darin, Engelbert, Nat "King" Cole, and more. Then he picks up his guitar and takes on Johnny Cash, Neil Diamond, Elvis, Buddy Holly, Carl Perkins and much more...an exteremly energetic, talented performer who sounds just like his intended targets...and he PROVES it 10-15 times each month in live performances with his backing band.
A veteran of clubs, casinos, film, television and events, Steve brings the total entertainment experience to audiences world wide.
Steve Waddington has been a member of the Screen Actor's Guild since 1990, having appeared in supporting roles on TV and film, most notably with Kurt Russell in the feature film BREAKDOWN and on NBC TV with Kirk Douglas and Craig T. Nelson in TAKE ME HOME AGAIN, as well as co-starring with Sam Jones in the premier episode of Animal Planet's HOLLYWOOD SAFARI.
He even toured with the late, legendary Wolfman Jack as lead singer of the 50's/60s rockin' revival band "Cruis'n", where he was widely acclaimed for his spot-on tributes to Elvis, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Buddy Holly, Ricky Nelson and more! He was the original rockabilly revival warrior, pre-dating Robert Gordon, Brian Setzer, James Intveld, Chris Isaak and many "revival" tribute artists that followed.
Later he wrote, recorded, published, produced, performed, headlined and opened shows with his all-original concert act "Steve One and the Shades", who released their debut album "Once in a Lifetime" to rave critical reviews. He shared the stage with many other fine artists of this time, Huey Lewis & the News, The Greg Kihn Band, Chris Isaak, Todd Rundgren, Eddie and the Tide, John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band, The Go Gos, Eddie Money, and more.
He was also one of the lead performers in Tim Colceri's, "Full Metal Improv", a Los Angeles based comedy Improv group.
As a solo performer, or as part of staged performance or review, Steve brings his years of professionalism and experience, as well as his amazing sense of humor and timing, to every production ensuring that audiences and cast members have fun and a memorable experience.

We posed this question to Steve, and he replied:
"Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Neil Diamond, Johnny Cash, Elvis,Tony Bennett, Buddy Holly, Dion DiMucci, Englebert Humperdinck,Tom Jones, Conway Twitty, Marty Robbins, the Beatles, the Stones, the Beach Boys, Eddie Cochran, Hank Marvin, James Burton, Dick Dale, Chris Isaak, Jimmy Wilsey, Ennio Maricone, new-wave 80's. Too many to list actually. Very eclectic, but then again I grew up in an era of great diversity. We would turn on the radio and hear Frank Sinatra, followed by the Beatles, then Stevie Wonder, Johnny Cash, Tom Jones, the Rolling Stones...it was a time that radio was truly BROADCASTING...in every sense of the word."
What to Expect
Typical Gig Duration: 20 - 180 minutes
Steve Waddington's show is exciting, entertaining and filled with variety. He sings Dean Martin like no one else ever has or will. He has re-set the bar VERY high indeed! Entertainment at its very best! And if he is doing more of his free-wheeling night club act, he brings the same level of dedication and professionalism to ALL of the voices and characters he emulates. His Johnny Cash is worthy of its own tribute show, and with his big baritone voice, and standing 6'4" tall, Steve dominates the stage with his presence! His Neil Diamond sounds just like Neil, with his overly-dramatic flair and velvety-smooth voice, his Buddy Holly is remarkable not only for his voice, glasses and performance, but for his note-perfect guitar playing! And his Elvis is somewhat legendary, having met the King himself in 1976!
During the course of a show, the audience will be delighted hearing their favorite songs, and watching this performer entertain, with a capital "E". Steve doesn't sing AT his audience, he sings WITH them! He has a relaxed charm, a quick wit and makes everyone feel like they are part of an event. No matter what the venue, he creates a party atmosphere.
His backup band is made up from the very best, most versatile musicians in Southern California. Even his smallest combo has a very big sound, without being overly loud. Quality musicianship, and these guys understand that the audience having fun is job one! Its like a Vegas show at your event!
