Why hire Ria Marcus?
Currently residing in the Central Florida area, Victoria Marcus has a lifelong background in competitive gymnastics and has been active in the Circus Arts since 2010. She combines her experience as a pre-Olympic athlete with Aerial Arts to create a display of strength, flexibility, and poise.
Victoria was recently the featured Aerialist in Cedar Fair's 6 Million dollar show 'Luminosity', part of the 2012 National Dayglow tour, and in the Opening Cast of Universal Studio's new SuperStar Parade.

Aerial Silk - "Aerial silk (also known as aerial contortion, aerial ribbons, aerial silks, aerial tissues, fabric, ribbon, or tissu) is a type of performance in which one or more artists perform aerial acrobatics while hanging from a special fabric. Performers climbs the suspended fabric without the use of safety lines, and rely only on their training and skill to ensure safety. They use the fabric to wrap, suspend, fall, swing, and spiral their bodies into and out of various positions. Aerial silks may be used to fly through the air, striking poses and figures while flying.
Aerial Hoop - "The aerial hoop (also known as the lyra, aerial ring or cerceau) is a circular steel apparatus (resembling a hula hoop) suspended from the ceiling, on which circus artists may perform aerial acrobatics and contortion. "

What to Expect

The ceiling height must be a minimum of:
18 feet for Aerial Silk
10 feet for Aerial Hoop
12 feet diameter around the aerial silk of unobstructed space from floor to ceiling is required. No lights, pipes, sprinklers, furniture, signs, balloons, etc.
Be sure to get permission from your venue for an aerial silk artist before inquiring about availability. Also check to see if they require a licensed rigger to hang the aerial silks.
Victoria Marcus can rig her own aerial silks to exposed metal I-beams, J-beams, and supporting rafters, for an extra fee. Please note: although Ria can rig her own equipment, she is not a licensed rigger. Typically larger venues will require a licensed and insured rigger. Please check with your venue. If Ria is contracted to rig her own equipment, access to the ceiling must be provided such as a ladder, catwalk, scaffolding, or sissorlift. Basic installation takes about 30 minutes per aerial silk set, please plan for setup/take-down.
