About

Priscilla began her violin studies in New England Conservatory's Preparatory division at the age of 8. She has a BA in biology from Oberlin College, a BM in violin performance from Oberlin Conservatory and an MM in performance from SUNY Purchase. Her previous teachers include Ikuko Mizuno, Kyung Sun Lee, Laurie Smukler and David Bowlin. Currently she is pursuing her AD at the University of Memphis where she studies with Soh-Hyun Park Altino and plays with the Memphis symphony orchestra. Priscilla has been playing in orchestras for 12 years and has been an avid chamber musician since the age of 12 giving her the opportunity to work with artists such as Mischa Amory, Andrew Jennings, Mike Kelley, Alex Klein, Elise Kuder, Julia Lichten, Catherina Meints, Movses Pogossian, Jennifer Ross, Peter Stumpf, Brooks Whitehouse, Calvin Wiersma and Carmit Zori.

Priscilla believes that classical music is not only a refined art but a beautiful gift from God that helps people learn to communicate, meditate, express and listen by doing so. She is passionate about communicating with people from all walks of life, and this love has brought her to play several outreach concerts in the Cleveland area. Priscilla loves music because of its ability to pull her towards things greater than herself, love, God, relationships and change.
