About
Since her teenage years, Andrena has lived her life by one simple quote: "the more I help others to succeed, the more I succeed." Her belief in this motto stems from early life experiences that have led to her dedication to authentically help and empower others.
Andrena was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone as the oldest of three children. When she was nine years old, her family left Sierra Leone due to a civil war that would leave thousands dead and untold numbers maimed and displaced.
At age 15, she founded Triple "T" MAD (Teens Trying to Make a Difference), a community service organization for teens in central New Jersey. As a freshman in college at Howard University, Andrena continued to cultivate her interest in social services by founding Rock, the MIC (Ministry Inside the Community), an annual community outreach for youth in Washington, DC. During this time, she maintained her status as a university Trustee Scholar while continuing her involvement with the NAACP, Golden Key International Honour Society, American Humanics, Impact Movement, and Black Youth Vote. Little did she know at the time, but these experiences would lay the foundation and define her passion for empowering youth, women, and at-risk individuals.
Andrena graduated Cum Laude from Howard with a BA in Sociology and a minor in Community Development. She is a certified Self-Esteem and Life Skills Trainer, and when she is not working or at speaking engagements, Andrena serves as the Public Relations Administrator for IEDA Relief- an international aid organization.
As a program consultant and event speaker, her greatest hope is that her clients feel a sense of hope and develop the necessary skills to better utilize their God-given abilities in reaching their potential.
