Popular, top-notch children's music show, specializing in 1st-5th birthdays, daycare & corporate entertainment in NJ. "Miss Kathy" & her partner have performed for over 10,000 children. Combine "Miss Kathy's lovely singing with fun, upbeat guitar playing & her love of children & you get a music show that can't be beat! She is especially popular for 1st birthdays as she is able to engage babies, toddlers & "big kids" all at once with exciting musical activities. Watch with delight as the kids dance, sing & play lots of cool musical instruments (even a Steel Drum & "Miss Kathy's" guitar). They take a "bubble bath" & even sing into a real microphone! Your party will be the talk of the town!

Biography:

Kathy Manese (AKA "Miss Kathy") is a professionally trained singer & guitarist and a former early childhood music teacher. She has been performing her music show with the aid of her husband for over 5 years & she has performed for over 10,000 children in Central & Northern NJ.

She has immense patience for children & she has experience working with children with Special Needs (Autism & Cerebral Palsy). Her specialty is 1st-5th birthday party entertainment as it can be difficult to find performers who are willing and able to work with this age group. Parents are often amazed at how she is able to engage all of the children at the birthday parties (they are typically between 1-7 years old, but babies & the older kids (8-10 year olds) also enjoy the show).

Children want to be seen & heard & Kathy gives the children lots of opportunities throughout the show to chime in with suggestions or to just spontaneously get up and dance (even when singing songs like "Old MacDonald"). Teachers who attend the parties often spot right away that Kathy was a teacher as she gives lots of praise to the children throughout the show (and kids just eat that up!!!).

Kathy has been studying voice with a Juliard graduate for over a decade & she was a Big Band lead singer, she has sung opera at friends weddings, folk music at coffee houses, cantored in church & she even used to be in a pop band that toured clubs in New York City (she performed on TV and at "The Bitter End" and "China Club"). Her vocal training & eclectic background allows her to sing versitile singing styles from classical to Folk to Jazz and R&B.

Kathy is a well rounded musician who learned guitar when she was 12 years old and she continues to study piano which is one of her all time favorite things to do!

She loves to share the joy of music with young children as she knows from her own personal experience that what you fall in love with when you are young stays with you for the rest of your life.
