About M-Dock

Formed in the fall of 1991, the M-Dock Band utilizes an acoustic/electric blend and multi-part harmonies in a classic rock format with a playlist that spans four decades. From the acoustic sounds of Crosby, Stills and Nash to the rock and roll soul of the Rolling Stones and the Motown horns, the M-Dock Band does it all. They are one of the most requested bands in the Midwest.

Biography:

Formed in the fall of 1991, the M-Dock Band utilizes an acoustic/electric blend and multi-part harmonies in a classic rock format with a playlist that spans four decades. From the acoustic sounds of Crosby, Stills and Nash to the rock and roll soul of the Rolling Stones and the Motown horns, the M-Dock Band does it all.

The band consists of Howard Cotner (vocals and acoustic guitar), Bill Evans (vocals, acoustic 6 and 12 string guitars, mandolin, mandocello and harmonica), John Price (vocals, electric and acoustic guitars), Brent Hendrix (vocals, electric guitar), Dave Farabee (bass guitar), Rick Davidson (drums), Steve Quinn (saxophone), Bryant Robinson (trumpet), Greg Hale (keyboards), Larry Pittman (percussion), and Bob Swanson (trombone).

One of the most requested bands in the Midwest, the M-Dock Band made its eleventh consecutive Firefall appearance in 2004 with an average attendance of 60,000 each year. Past performances include opening for The Little River Band, Jay Leno, Wayne Newton, The Platters, Moe Bandy, Legends in Concert and Tony Orlando.

In June of 2003, the M-Dock band played a concert at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas and in August 2004, the band played a concert in Isasaki, Japan. In January for the past eight years, the M-Dock Band has played at the four star Barcelo Hotel in Ixtapa, Mexico accompanied on each charter with over 30 friends of the Band. Local public appearances in the Springfield area are primarily at Cartoons. The M-Dock Band books numerous private and corporate functions, many for repeat annual events, including the Buy.com professional golf tournament.
