Growing up, I was naturally a theatrical type of person and dressing up to entertain has always been a hobby of mine. I've done many pirate events and festivals throughout the years. Several birthday parties are in my line of experience and I've enjoyed doing every single one.The kids are great and who's not to love ol' Captain Jack? Out of most birthday party entertainers, I'd have to say the Jack Sparrow character is definitely among one of the most popular with the crowd. You can never go wrong with a pirate themed party as it is one of the most fun and enjoyable for all ages. I can assure you to expect a wonderful performance from me. I like to collaborate with the party host(s) before hand in order to create a general scheme for the performance. A large part of what I do is improve which fits perfect with the character as he is known to be unpredictable.

Influences

For one, I LOVE the Pirates of the Caribbean films! I also have friends all over the U.S. that do the same gig in their own areas and abroad. I know it's a popular gig and definately in demand with the pirate enthusiasts. I've had a great time at all the events I've done and they only seem to get better every time.

What to Expect

Typical Gig Duration: 60 - 360 minutes

I'm open to a lot of ideas but here are a few that have been hits in the past:

* BackyardTreasure hunting (Fake gold coins, treasure chest, etc.)
* Toy Sword lessons
* Face Painting
* Story telling
* Pirate songs
* Liers Dice
* Pirate Pinata

And of course MANY great photo opportunities :)

Stage/Setup Requirements:
Music Player (Ipod player of some sort)

Additional Notes:
Music is definitely important! The Pirates of the Caribbean movie soundtrack or other pirate songs are a must at any event as it sets the mood for the crowd and keeps the rhythm going, savvy?

Set/Song/Sequence List:
I rarely come to events with a strict plan set in stone... That's simply not Captain Jack's nature :P I usually improv due to the fact that it emulates the character best for me and the audience. I do like to collaborate with the hosts well before I perform to ensure I may fulfill any special requests they might have.
