January 24, 2026Magic Mike O’Connell Magic for Corporate Party
I hired Mike for my company’s 20th anniversary party. We hosted the party at a restaurant that had a private room. The group size was 50.
Mike was fantastic. We started the night with a cocktail hour where Mike did strolling magic. He spent time with many different guests doing up close magic which included card tricks and mentalism. We then had a one hour dinner. Mike then performed a ~45 minute show for our group. He incorporated lots of people, was very funny and a true professional magician. Everyone raved about his performance and many wanted to get his info for hire.
This was the second time I’ve hired Mike. I also hired him for a private dinner for a group of 12 clients. I knew he’d be great and he didn’t disappoint.
We hired him a few weeks in advance and he worked really well to understand our crew and what we had in mind for scheduling, audio needs, setup and was very accommodating.
He was exactly what our party needed and I’m sure we’ll hire him again! 👏👏👏

October 29, 2021You want Mike.
Our event was a massive success and it is all thanks to Mike's amazing performance! Not only does he do a brilliant variety of tricks, but he is personable and engages with people. There were multiple times where he was able to draw a crowd and that has never been done at previous events we've put on. Hiring him for your event is a no brainer.

Mike was on time and very professional. His personality was very inviting, upbeat, and got along with everyone. He defiantly drew crowds in front of our booth and was a big hit at our show. The trade show coordinator even commented on his performances and thanked us for hiring him.
He has a wide variety of magic tricks he can pull out of his hat. I am still amazed and dumbfounded at some of the magic he performed. Every trick was fresh and amazing.
As he performed for people, they would go and get their colleagues and bring them over to the booth to see his next feat of magic.
He is class act all the way around. I would even go as far as booking him for out of state shows.

What to expect
There are two different formats that Mike has found to work the best for small parties or larger events alike, and in some cases people prefer a combination of both. While the show is designed for adults, it is completely age appropriate and shouldn't be hard for the more perceptive members of the younger audience. His illusions vary greatly and take advantage of many different tools, whether that be finding a dollar bill inside an uncut lemon with your signature that you just saw a moment ago vanish, ropes will change lengths and fuse together in the blink of an eye. You will watch in awe as Mike plays Russian Roulette with either metal spikes or broken glass, bend forks with the mind, and make just about anything disappear. His act is very malleable and easy to work with, and for those looking to spice up a corporate event or office party, Mike is perfectly capable of incorporating statistics, goals, mission statements, and other aspects of your business into the show.
The first option is the more traditional stage or parlor show, requiring a room big enough for all of your guests to sit or stand while viewing a performance that can span from fifteen minutes to an hour depending on your needs. Mixing magic with modern psychology, your guests will be left astonished by the pseudo-mind reading show. While Mike may be the ring leader, his shows are highly interactive and stimulating, never failing to surprise and enlighten even the most cynical of your guests while they steal the show.
The second option is a more casual approach where Mike will drift around your event mingling with guests and performing mini-shows for individuals and small groups. Working out of his pockets means that he does not require a stage or any more space than your average guest. No need to worry about an attendee vanishing or being sawn in two, but instead they will take part in cocktail magic at their leisure without interrupting the flow or agenda of an event. Compare it to bumping into a friendly stranger at a party who happens to have a lot of tricks up his sleeves combined with witty banter. This works as a great ice breaker as guests arrive or during drinks, opposed to the stage show which can really wrap up the night with a bang. With no shortage of illusions, both options work well as a package or separately.
Magic is Mike O'Donnell's full-time profession and in no way, shape, or form a hobby. For the past five years he has been the house magician for Four Farthings Grill every Tuesday night bringing a unique excitement to people's dining experience. Currently, Mike performs every Friday and Sunday at Lagunitas Brewery for guests as they enter and leave the Tap Room.
