Street Magician Norman Basile
Valpo fun
Wedding photo1
Overview
Chicagoland area magician specialized in the Art of Street Magic for over 20 yrs. I strive to make my style of magic very "natural looking." Everyday objects such as coins, jewelry, lighters, etc are requested from participants to be used as props during the magic effects. My show is heavy with audience participation. Volunteers are left to feel as though they were a direct influence of the outcome of the magical display. This type of show is meant to leave people with the emotional impression that they themselves have just experienced or even performed magic (not just viewed/ witnessed magic abilities by the magician), and that magic is in and around everyone and everything all of the time.

April 30, 2023Norman Basile is a Fantastic Magician!
Our nonprofit hired Norman for our fundraising event, a speakeasy (1920's theme), and we found just the right magician for our evening. Norm did strolling magic throughout the night for our guests. He made sure to find every guest in the room, visiting tables, stopping by groups, and would not stop until everyone enjoyed a magic experience. We are so glad we found Norm for our fundraiser. His persona and enthusiasm was perfect for our event!!

March 8, 2023Freaking awesome
I met Norman over 14 years ago. I had so much fun getting to know him, my fiance and I hired him to be at our wedding. People still talk about him today. It's been great to see him thrive with his amazing talent. So if your looking to make your event stand out he is the guy. Tommy k

October 5, 2026Street Magician Norman Basile was truly spectacular!
Norman put on an incredible magician show! Our guests ranged from 2 years of age to 87. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed him because of his great audience interaction, witty humor, and plenty of moments that left us wondering, "How did he do that?" It was a fantastic experience and I would definitely recommend Norman to anyone looking for a fun and memorable event.

What to expect
It takes a lot of dedication, patience, discipline, practice, practice, oh and did I mention practice… to be successful. My love and passion for this art is what gives me these qualities and work ethic. Practicing can make you good, but to be great you have to go out and perform for people. The people I meet and the experiences I have along the way are so amazing it drives me to be the best I can be. I believe I can prove this art has the ability to inspire people, affect their attitudes in a positive way, motivate them, or even just humor, amaze, amuse, and entertain. Many times I have seen this art performed in a manner that seems to get close to these desired results but unfortunately miss that mark. These performances seemed to be missing something…something like commitment, creativity, and/or maybe even passion. I feel I deliver the art’s full potential by using my passion and talent to hit that mark and leave a lasting impression.
My services provide rare, unique, high quality entertainment in an upbeat yet respectable and professional manner at fair prices to anyone that see value in my business.
About
My name is Norman Frank Basile III. I was born in Munster, Indiana and brought up in South Holland, Illinois. I am one of seven in my family with my parents, my two older sisters (one being my twin), a younger brother, and even younger sister. With that amount, competition for attention and approval from my parents was fierce. That drive grew with me as an influence that would later mold me into an entertainer.
While fighting through the standardized procedures in education, I quickly realized that the skills they were teaching me in school were unrelated to the unconventional knowledge I would need to aquire - a necessity for an interesting career. I began practicing magic at the age of eight after watching David Copperfield perform on stage. As he triggered my interest in this unique art, professional street magician, David Blaine, brought a new style to the table, inspiring me to continue practicing and begin performing this genre of magic. To this day, Blaine remains my idol. As time, skill, and passion progressed, I knew I had found my life's profession.
Now, almost 25 years later, I have worked hard performing numerous events and promoting myself throughout the Northwest Indiana region. I have since built a successful entertainment enterprise with the help of family, friends, and clients. I will continue to build my hobby into a life long career.
Additional booking notes
At the least: Give me a spot to stand in and I'm ready to perform! At the most: The world is my stage!
