Influenced by an eclectic group of artists such as Buddy Guy, Skip James, The Doors, Nirvana, Bob Dylan and Pete Seeger, Mr. Cecil has been a guitarist and singer for almost fifteen years with his roots in the grunge/alternative rock scene of the mid to late nineties. As a solo artist he has played with numerous musicians and at several venues in the Austin, TX area and the Midwest United States.
With the recent release of his much anticipated 2010 LP entitled, "when you kiss somebody else", he will continue to book shows and perform.

i book the artists/bands for the keystone lounge in Joplin MO. i have booked Kelly Cecil on numerous occasions prior to his eventual move to Texas. each time, it was a pleasure just to see his name on my calendar, because i knew we would have a good evening of quality entertainment, and i would not have to worry about anything. he put together, and managed one of the first local benefit concerts following the devastating tornado that gained national attention here, with over 10 acts. he put together various assortments of musicians, and like a quality band leader, directed them, through a great evening of entertainment. and he shows up with a great attitude!
