About

Composer, studio engineer, singer and world class keyboard player. Jake studied piano, organ, voice, recorder and music theory as a young boy. By the age of 12, he was performing in the company of Arthur Fiedler of the Boston Symphony, Seiji Ozawa, Michael Tilson Thomas of the Philadelphia Philharmonic and The Boston Opera Company to name a few. He received scholarships from The Boston Archdiocese Choir School and The New England Conservatory of Music, attending N.E.C. and Boston College High School at the same time, all by the age of 18.

Although Jake is spending most of his energy writing and recording his own projects in San Antonio, TX, he is available for studio work via mail/email and concerts around the country, as well as solo and fill-in keyboard player.

Thousands of hours in studio time, writing his own material for film, pop music and digital music for web, make Jake a dynamic, precision live player. He is known affectionately as One Take Jake!

What to Expect

Typical Gig Duration: 15 - 90 minutes

Solo piano & vocal for all ages. From Bach improv to Bluesy fun! "Jake lands on his feet!" reading a room, Jake is able to call upon music form the 20's through the ages, drawing a surprising well of knowledge of songs. Additional Notes:
If within driving distance, performing for 20-50 people, the only thing Jake will need is a hotel room the day before and after the performance and a stage. If a larger venue, and within driving distance, a front of house (FOH sound system) is needed. Stereo keys (or mono) XLR and vocals inputs.

If a fly date, a backline of gear is needed as well as hotel. Acoustic piano or 88 weighted action digital piano with bench, boom mic stand and clean smelling mic. Monitor and FOH sound system.

Hot black tea is always appreciated.
