Elephant Sound & Lighting began in the Summer of 2009 due to shortages in the sound services industries here in Southern Alberta. As a result of higher than normal musical acts touring through the area, sound rental rates began to increase. Since most of the shows required large systems that run on high power and at high volumes, the smaller sized systems were also consumed to be used as stage monitors or side stage services in the various festivals that were happening. Now there was little or no availability for the demand of smaller to medium sized sound support.

On a series of exclusive trial priviledges with a sound retail company in Lethbridge. Elephant discovered that sound technology has changed drastically since it's inception. There is now no need to have large towering speaker systems that drain masses of electricity to get a powerful system. Before, you needed at least a cube van to transport a sound system, now you can fit a whole system in your sedan. Also because there is no need to hire a crew of workers to set up the system, it is no longer necessary to drive rates up to pay your crew. It is now possible for the average person to have an event, show, or concert without going into debt.

Elephant has embraced new technology and the benefits that come with it. We use the QSC K-Series which came out in the Spring of 2009 and now is back ordered internationally! Our K-Series system boasts 8000 watts of power combined, but compact enough to fit in a minivan, and they sound amazing! Book a show with us and you won't be disapointed.
