The Dennis Moss Duo was fabulous. They played music for my wedding ceremony and reception for a formal party of 25 at The Rutherglen Mansion. They arrived early, played the music perfectly for the ceremony(a somewhat ad-lib ceremony) They didn't miss a beat and created a wonderful ambience for the reception. They easily accommodated requests. People danced. The music was just the right volume for those that just wanted to chat. They were very affordable. They were dressed appropriately for the function. I would definitely invite them to play at any other event I plan in the future!

Dennis Moss is a solo jazz guitarist/bandleader serving Portland, Seattle and beyond. He performs regularly at corporate events, weddings, private parties, lounges, wine bars, restaurants and festivals. Dennis has performed in venues such as the Silver Legacy Resort Casino (Reno, NV), McCaw Hall at the Seattle Center, Hilton Portland, Benson Hotel, the Seattle Aquarium, Argosy Cruises, University of Washington, VIRGINIA V Historic Ship and Antioch University. Dennis has had the honor of performing for distinguished clients such as Oregon Senator Rick Metsger, Seattle City Council member Jan Drago, Tacoma Mayorial Candidate Jim Merritt and Hewlett-Packard. Dennis works with some of the area's finest jazz musicians and clients can expect quality, memorable experiences. Besides leading his own groups and performing as a soloist, Dennis also composes, arranges, teaches guitar privately and presents jazz guitar clinics.
Dennis earned a Bachelor of Music from Cornish College of the Arts. As a Cornish student, he studied with notable jazz artists such as Chuck Deardorf, Dawn Clement, Julian Priester and Jovino Santos Neto. Dennis earned multiple talent-based scholarships and graduated Magna Cum Laude.
There are several unique aspects of Dennis' playing that set him apart. A fingerstylist, Dennis has a gorgeous tone and he plays the seven-string guitar. Dennis has a strong harmonic sense and his voicings are unique among guitarists. His ability to take on multiple roles simultaneously (combining melody, harmony and bass lines) makes Dennis a perfect fit for solo and small ensemble performances. Dennis' playing style is very lyrical and his sound is warm and engaging. His music works great as background ambience for events and also as a main attraction.
