Cissy and The Man deliver a unique entertainment package by combining a juggler and a clown! The boys enjoy watching The Man's juggling tricks and are eager to try their hand at his challenges as he gets them involved. The girls are drawn to Cissy the Clown and are thrilled by the personal attention they receive from this colorful, joyful new friend. Cissy and The Man offer a stage show that can last anywhere from 20 to 60 minutes. Watch what happens when Cissy's attempts to help The Man go haywire! The show includes juggling, balancing, skits, humor and audience participation. Cissy and The Man also provide strolling entertainment and are a special treat for any birthday party.
About
Jason Horst (aka "The Man") has been performing for the past twenty years. Focusing primarily on children's shows, Jason can be found performing at school assemblies, churches, corporate events and birthday parties in addition to strolling around carnivals, festivals and other large celebrations and fund raisers. He uses the traditional juggling props, such as clubs, balls and rings, but also enjoys creative manipulation of everyday objects such as tent poles, potatoes and soup ladles.
As someone with a background in child care and someone with natural improvisational skills, Katherine Horst (aka "Cissy") finds clowning to be right up her alley. (Plus it's in her blood as both parents were performing clowns.) Kate thrives on personal interaction, making each child feel important. Integrating physical comedy, juggling, silly toys and other props, "Cissy" will liven up any gathering.
Together, this husband and wife team perform as the brother/sister duo of Cissy and The Man. While geared toward children, their stage shows are equally enjoyed by adults. Shows are always family friendly and can be customized to match the theme of almost any event or holiday.
For strolling entertainment, Cissy and The Man simply walk through the crowd and interact with them on a one-on-one basis. Children are encouraged to help with small tricks, while at other times Cissy and The Man performing spontaneous tricks and "mini-shows" between the two of them. (Available for strolling as a duo or individually.)
For birthday parties, Cissy and The Man would be at your party for one hour. The time would involve two segments. For the first half hour, the children sit and watch as Cissy and The Man put on a show (a simplified version of their stage show). This show involves juggling, clowning, music and audience interaction. For the last half hour, Cissy and The Man interact with the children one on one. This can involve fun with props, learning to juggle, games and fun challenges.
