About

The Dan Bradley Big Band was started in 1992 in an effort to give our audiences the best possible entertainment. Husband and wife team, Dan and Marilyn Bradley have help polish the band to a new dimmension with custom arrangements of classic swing numbers and current rock/ballad favorites. Our wide ever growing repertoire has over 400 songs in many styles. The band includes Marilyn - lead female vocalist, Jim our Sinatra guy and Jay our rock singer and also piano, bass, guitar, drums, 2 saxes, 2 trumpets, 1 trombone, and tons of fun.

Our favorite bands have been the Hot and Romantic Swing Bands of Dorsey, Miller, Ellington,the 90's swing bands of Big Bad Voodoo Daddies, Phil Collins, Manhattan Transfer, and all, the Classic rock of 50-60-70's, Motown, James Brown, Amy Winehouse, Cleo Laine, Corinne Bailey Rae, Van Morrison, Jim Morrison, Hendrix, Queen, Beatles.and I guess a thousand more great musicians...

What to Expect

Typical Gig Duration: 45 - 330 minutes

During our performances your friends can expect incredible diverse styles. Although our band specializes in Swing, Sinatra, Big Band, and Big Bad Voodoo Daddies we also do Popular rock, Reggae, Motown, Polkas, and Latin styles. The audience will see a very classy orchestra in tuxedos, hear artistry of talented real musicians who have studied in finest music schools in the country and are excelling musicians. Our more than 15 years as a band has grown our professionalism and our musicianship.
We do not do light shows, we do not do rap or music that is crude, rude, or vulgar. We are not loud even in small spaces but we are fun and powerful because we swing and rock.

Electricity and a happy audience

Additional Notes:
Although we are usually a 10 piece band our talented musicians can play in many different combinations, piano solo, jazz trio of sax, jazz guitar and bass; or drums. Our usual small group is 7 or 8 musicians for a skeleton big band sound.
