This would be a book-release party. There would be a 45-minute talk about the book, then people who wanted to buy it could line up and do so, while others mingled and danced.

As the trio unloaded their equipment, a downpour soaked the eponymous lead guitarist, Gerry Beaudoin. No problem: Gerry reached into his van for a dry, backup shirt -- decades of doing gigs taught him to always bring a change of clothes! Gerry and his trio know how to read a crowd, know when to jam it into high gear and when to relax. Gerry's flexible and keeps his word, plowing through traffic and flash floods to make the gig. Of course all that wouldn't matter if the music weren't good, but it was! What else would you expect from a Berkelee alum who played for decades with Duke Robillard. The Gerry Beaudoin Trio subtly infused the party with a great vibe -- and bass, and lead.
