Angel M. Castillo started writing comedy while a student at Dartmouth
College as a staff writer for the school's humor magazine, The
Jack-O-Lantern. Since graduating, he's hit the ground running,
bringing his unique blend of intellect, imagination, and
self-deprecation to venues around the northeast, like Boston's Comedy
Studio and New York's Broadway Comedy Club. He is co-host of a weekly
podcast called “The A/A Meeting,” where he showcases his talents as an
interviewer, sketch writer, and voice actor.

I hope that people perceive my comedy as intelligent without being pretentious and socially aware without being preachy. At the very least, that's what I strive for. My material is clearly influenced by my liberal leanings: I talk about feminism and gender dynamics, preconceptions about race and ethnicity, but then I usually end up going back to myself and realizing how full of shit I am.Yes, if there's any pervasive theme to my stuff it's that I know I'm full of shit. How's THAT for a self-description?
