Alex Grubard is a high-energy, memorable and funny young stand-up comedian. He is host and creator of the hit game show Weeding Out The Stoned, which has been called, "Endearingly absurd," by Brooklyn Began and "Highly entertaining," by Phindie. On the television screen Grubard has appeared on mtvU "College Quickes," College Humor "Originals," and Comedy Central "Web Shows." He was a winner of LOL @ The Grand Opera House and been featured at The New York Comedy Festival, Cape Fear Comedy Festival, North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival, Philly Fringe Arts, Five Dollar Comedy Week and much more. Alex recently performed at our holiday party and we are very pleased with his performance. The day after the party I received numerous text messages from coworkers saying how funny he was. 4 days after the performance we are still laughing at Alex’s jokes. We have a diverse group and Alex did a great job adapting to our group. Book Alex and you won’t be disappointed.

Alex is an extremely talented comic. We asked him to perform for our charity fundraising event and right from the start we knew we had booked a winner. He was courteous and prompt in his communication with our planning people; he was very diligent in making sure his comedy was both suitable and well-received by our audience. Most importantly, he was hilarious! The audience was engaged and they loved his performance. I strongly recommend Alex.

What to expect
Audiences at my comedy shows leave feeling bright and joyous. They'll have jokes and catchphrases that they will be repeating to themselves and others during even their most basic every day activities that remind them of these lines. They'll also feel as if they have seen a comedian that they respected as opposed to the common misconception people have of comedians today telling old Borscht Belt or airplane jokes they have heard before. It is a fun and engaging experience unlike most entertainment that can be tuned out or is forgettable.

He is a former winner of The LOL @ The Grand comedy competition and has been featured at New York Comedy Festival, Five Dollar Comedy Week, Cape Fear Comedy Festival, Filmadelphia, WOOtenany, POPPED! Music Festival, The Highlarious Comedy Festival, North Carolina Comedy Arts Fest, Montclair Mini Fest, and more. He regularly performs at comedy clubs such as Helium, Punch Line, The Comedy Studio, Good Good Comedy Theatre, Bananas, and Wisecrackers where he has worked with some of his teenage heroes. The best shows are simple with enough chairs to seat everyone in attendance, a microphone, microphone stand, spotlight and stage. Stand-up comedy is excellent as it is very low-tech. Even with these requirements I have seen comedians adapt wonderfully to some of the most horrible performance envirnments. The show will go on.
