Through the years, Kenny Rogers has become such an icon that it's easy to forget how he got there. "Something%u2019s Burning", "Lady", "Ruby", "The Gambler", along with other top songs of his career from the late 1960s First Edition years up to his current return to the charts, offer a reminder that Kenny Rogers is a star because he excels at his craft.

Marty has a remarkable likeness to Kenny Rogers and the voice to go with it. To watch him on stage you would think you were seeing the real Kenny Rogers!

Ask anyone who has booked or worked with Marty and they will tell you he is a class act and easy to work with. Marty Edwards has been entertaining fans since the early 1970%u2019s. He started his musical career as a lead vocalist and guitarist for a popular three-piece country band, performing some of Kenny Rogers%u2019 songs, but not as an impersonator.

In 1998 Marty organized and produced a benefit show called Put A Little Love In Your Heart, to raise money to help abused children. With only a short time to put the show together and lineup the acts he found that he was one act short.

Remembering a suggestion by noted Producer James Bowers a couple of years earlier, that Marty should think about doing a Kenny Rogers impersonation, Marty debuted his tribute to Kenny Rogers as a one-time only "fill-in" performance at this first benefit concert. The benefit, now in it's 11th year, continues to raise thousands of dollars to help abused children, and Marty%u2019s "one-time only" performance was so well received, it has become a permanent fixture at the annual benefit.

Since that first performance in 1998, "Kinda Kenny", Marty%u2019s critically acclaimed tribute to Kenny Rogers has delighted audiences across the USA, Canada, Mexico, Australia, the UK, and Asia. Edwards has toured with the world-famous "Legends of Rock 'n' Roll%u201D, %u201CLegends Alive!%u201C, %u201CSuperstars of Country%u201D, %u201CCountry Music USA%u201D, and %u201CSuper Stars in Concert%u201D troupes. He has performed for sold out audiences at some of the most prestigious venues in North America, the UK, Australia, and Asia.

His resemblance to the country music legend is uncanny. Marty had the pleasure of meeting Kenny in Billings, MT. When Marty was leaving, remarking on the likeness, Kenny Rogers said to Marty %u201CNow don%u2019t go and get me into any trouble!%u201D.

Marty has been seen on %u201CCNN%u201D, the %u201COprah Winfrey%u201D show, the %u201CJay Leno Tonight Show%u201D, and numerous TV shows in Malaysia and the UK.

I recreate Kenny%u2019s live performances of all the big hits and some of the not so big hits, from early %u201CKenny Rogers and the First Edition%u201D days, right through to Kenny%u2019s latest album. I have had the pleasure of meeting Kenny Rogers a few times since I started doing my show (14 years ago). I got to meet him the first time because he saw my show, liked it, and asked his promoter to invite me to his show. I got to go back stage and meet him and have a picture taken with him.
