About

Instrumentalist, artist, producer, arranger, and recording engineer, Zo Blow cultivates his creativity through music, and captivates music fans around the world. Most known for his soulful, melodic trombone performances and recordings, and being an all around brass aficionado. Zo Blow plays and has recorded music on trombone, trumpet, euphonium, tuba, alto sax, drums, and piano.

Zo Blow began his musical journey growing up in church at the young age of 2. As and adolescent, he conquered many musical feats, including numerous tours and performances on the gospel circuit (midwestern tour, southern tour, western tour). The North Carolina native continued his musical matriculation and education at Georgia Southern University. He attended the university on a football scholarship and played drums in the jazz combo and jazz band. Zo Blow graduated from Georgia Southern in 2014 with a B.A. in Justice Studies/Pre Law, and a minor in music performance.

After graduating Zo blow hit the musical scene playing at numerous festivals, music venues, bars, weddings and anywhere he could. Zo played with an abundance of brass bands, and corporate entertainment groups including world renowned Liquid Pleasure, and APX. He joined one of the longest running and decorated Michale Jackson tribute bands, “Who’s Bad” in 2018. He toured North America with Who’s Bad for 3 years, until he joined the B.B. King All Star Band, performing on Holland America cruise line. His travels include Alaska, Mexico, eastern and western Caribbean, Norway, Denmark, Amsterdam, Sweden, and many other European countries. Along with performing and traveling, Zo opened his own music and visual studio in his hometown of Durham, NC called “MoodSwing Stidios” in 2018. Here he continued to invest in his craft and dream, serving as lead engineer, recording many local acts.

He has shared the stage with amazing vocalist, and musicians such as Amber Sauer seen on NBC The Voice, Vannessa Ferguson seen on The Voice, Tony Terry, Ryan Cross (Bassist credits Alicia Keys, Stevie Wonder, Jay-Z), Eric Gales, Brandon Thomas, Chris Johnson (Trombone credits Beyoncé, Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z) and many more.

Some of Zo Blow’s influences are J.J. Johnson, Wyclef Gordon, Jeff Bradshaw, Troy Andrews (Trombone Shorty), Terrace Martin, Keyon Harold, Winton Marcellius, and his favorite vocalist, Jazmine Sullivan.
