September 5, 2017Zerlina was good enough to work up personal interpretations of songs for my daughter's wedding ceremony. She then played a selection of classic jazz melodies during the cocktail hour. Her music created the perfect ambiance we were looking for. She is talented, professional and charming.

From Bali, Indonesia, Zerlina Devi is a pianist, vocalist, composer and arranger. Born in a family with a deep appreciation for music, she had to get her hands on an instrument in her early childhood. At the age of six, she started learning piano and continued taking piano lessons since then.
Eventually she started performing and discovered her true passion. Since then she has been active in the jazz scene back in Bali where she would perform regularly at café’s and restaurants. That also lead her to get the chance to play at the biggest Indonesian International Jazz festival, called Java Jazz Festival and played with remarkable names such as George Benson, Joey DeFransesco, Tony Monaco, Maurice Brown, Michael Paulo and many more.
Zerlina then pursued her education at Berklee College of Music in 2012 with a significant amount of scholarship, and graduated summa cum laude in 2015 with double major on Performance and Jazz Composition. During her time at Berklee, she had the privilege to learn from incredible mentors including Aaron Goldberg, Joanne Brackeen, Bob Winter, Kevin Harris, Tim Ray, Dave Santoro, Lenny Stallworth, Ayn Inserto, Bob Pilkington and many more.
She is now very active in the Boston music scene playing and recording with upcoming artists such as The Urban Nerdz (Recipient of Best Hip Hop Act at New England Music Awards 2013 and The Urban Music Awards 2013), The Collective and many more.
Zerlina is available to book for live music for any occassion, recording session, piano lessons or any composing commission.
