We hired Alex and Leo to play BossaNova at a small party, and we were incredibly impressed. Not only did they sound great, but they were so easy to work with. They gave us a huge list of songs to work with, and it was a great mix of different genres so we could even mix in a few favorites from other artists. And then they went the extra mile, even learning a couple of songs they didn't know and going great lengths to track down an eclectic piece of music. They were gracious and set up and broke everything down quickly and neatly. They graciously allowed our family to sing with them. They also got dressed up for our theme. What great sports! I would hire them again in a second!

2025 MAC AWARD nominee, British-American singing pianist ALEXANDRA FREDERICK performs weekly at legendary Manhattan PIANO BARS The Townhouse (Upper East Side), Don't Tell Mama (Theater District), Da Marino Restaurant (featured in "Sex and the City.")
Alex lends her “lush vocals and Jazz-infused piano style” to American Songbook Standards, Swing, Broadway, Pop Rock, Brazilian Bossa Nova, French cabaret classics and Italian favorites.
A seasoned performer with over 20 years in the business, her roster of exclusive venues include: NYC PRIVATE CLUBS: Knickerbocker, Liederkranz, Lotos, River; HOTELS: Crossings Bar at Marriott Westchester, Lotte New York Palace, The Lowell, Garden Gables (Lenox, MA); PUBLIC VENUES such as the iconic Empire State Building (holiday season); and numerous private and public events.
As a young adult in England Alex played the Cambridge and London music circuits (her band won several awards and was featured on TV and radio) before leaving the UK to pursue Jazz studies in New York City. Since arriving in the US she has become established as a pianist with over 20 years’ experience in the Tri-State area. Alex is a TOP PERFORMER on Gigsalad and The Bash sites. She has also played in Europe, Japan, Mexico, and the Caribbean, and on the high seas for CRUISE LINES Carnival and Princess. She holds two music performance degrees: Classical Instrumental (Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, UK), and Jazz Vocal (The City College of New York.)
Versatile and engaging, Alex also sings in French, Italian, German, Spanish and Portuguese. Each opportunity to tailor an event to the client’s specific needs, whether presenting a polished spotlight performance or engaging guests for an impromptu sing-along, is viewed with care and treated with equal importance. In other words, you are encouraged to request your favorite tunes!

FULL MIC SET-UP: Sennheiser microphone and Bose Compact L1 Pro 8 with tower speaker
The FOOTPRINT for my set-up is about 62" wide and 32" deep. Will require a power outlet within 15'.
Have my OWN VEHICLE and can transport my own equipment.
*If you need me to use a house sound system I am able to do that but you will need to provide a sound engineer /equipment operator.
