Each set is customized to the event, audience, venue and theme (if appropriate). I arrive early, with music on an iPod (as well as a CD for back-up) and keep my costume covered, since the performance is usually a surprise. The music can be more traditional Middle Eastern music or Arabic pop, and I've also performed to Arabic/World techno music for clubs. I like to engage the audience, encouraging them to get up and dance, or clap their hands. I also weave in props that are appropriate for the event, so long as my host/hostess wants me to use them. Props would include sword, veils, and Isis Wings.

I provide customized belly dance performances, ranging from traditional pieces (Turkish, Egyptian & American Cabaret) to fusion pieces (Modern, Tribal Fusion and Dark Fusion Belly Dance styles). I work with each host/hostess to make sure I include any favorite songs they might want, as well as specific dances using swords, Isis Wings, veils, etc. Performances can be very family-friendly for weddings and birthday/retirement/anniversary parties... or they can be a little edgier for art galleries, nightclubs, and costume parties. Examples of previous performances include hookah bars, nightclubs, restaurants, art galleries, festivals, museum exhibits, private parties, and as an opening act for bands or cabaret shows. Event planners are always pleased with my reliability, professionalism, and enthusiasm. I've hosted The Bellydance Superstars during their most recent visits to Cincinnati, and have been teaching fusion belly dance for over ten years. I take dance and Middle Eastern workshops whenever I can, so I can continue to improve my dance background and performance abilities.
