My name is Zac Starr, and I’m a 19-year old professional improvisation tap dancer from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I perform as a solo tap dancer/singer/entertainer at senior living centers, personal care homes, children events, outdoor summer festivals, and for many other venues in the Pittsburgh area tap dancing to any and all genres of music. I created my own band Zac Starr’s Synchronize Band and perform tap dancing with my jazz funk band at outdoor festivals, restaurants, festivals, and special events. Either alone or with my band, I captivate the audience with my performances and bring something new and exciting to the event!

I am an entertainer and I love to entertain! I tap dance, sing, and motivate the crowd with words and vocals. My ambition is to be the next Gregory Hines, Sammy Davis, Jr., Gene Kelly, or Fred Estaire. My highly skilled improv tap dancing skills are contagious to the crowd and people begin tapping their feet to the music and clapping and dancing in their seats or on a dance floor. I aspire to inspire!
I’m a professional improv tap dance performer, singer, and entertainer at restaurants, festivals, and events in and around the Pittsburgh area and have performed in many other cities and states as well as Canada. I began tap dancing at age 4 and from ages 7 to 11 won titles and first place awards at dance competitions. When I was age 11, I began mentorship with two of the best tap dancers in the country, New York City’s Jason Samuels Smith and Jared Grimes, and I travelled to NYC on weekends for four years. My tap dance career in Pittsburgh began at age 15 to present. In 2018, I was on the Dance Moms TV Show, and in 2023, I performed on the KDKA-TV Pittsburgh Today Live Show and KDKA-TV Pitt to the Point show. I enjoy inspiring others while living my passion.
For solo acts: I will put together set list based on the events. I solo improv tap dancing to any genre music from the 50’s to current. Most songs sung by me are from the artists Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin.
