Overview
Jessica Gallion, also known as YELLAWOMAN—a poet, author, performer, and creative writing facilitator with roots in Louisiana and Los Angeles.
I am the author of Can’t No Woman, Woman Like Me and a co-coordinator of the Anansi Writers Workshop at The World Stage. My work blends spoken word, storytelling, and cultural reflection, taking audiences on a journey through self-discovery, feminine power, colorism, resilience, and my Creole heritage.
With years of experience performing at literary festivals, universities, galleries, and cultural events, I deliver engaging performances, workshops, and voice work that inspire, empower, and connect with audiences.
