Wry Grass
Overview
Five people. 27 strings. One special sound -- Wry Grass is a generous helping of bluegrass seasoned with folk, country, gospel, and a little bit of rock. Active in Central Ohio for nearly 15 years, they combine guitar, mandolin, bass, banjo, and fiddle with their vocals and interesting harmonies. Wry Grass can provide easy-going background music, a musical focal point, or an upbeat free-wheeling concert where the audience will find itself singing along and maybe even dancing. They can choose tunes from their songbook to fit almost every occasion and audience.

Wry Grass Band performed during Chadwick Arboretum's Fall Foliage Open House. They created the perfect ambiance for the event, and were very professional and easy to work with. I would definitely work with them again!

What to expect
We play informally and enjoy interacting with our audiences. We can go from one tune to the next when we are playing background music, or we can share a little about our music between songs if we are in a small concert setting.
About
Active in Central Ohio for nearly 18 years, WryGrass members include Tip House (guitar), Larry Tanner (mandolin), Diane Paul (bass), Brent Davis (banjo), and John Georgiton (King of the Greek Orthodox CPA Fiddlers!)
Additional booking notes
We need access to electricity and a level performing area approximately 10 ft wide and 5 feet deep. If the event is outside, we need a solid dry performing area (and a rainy or threatening weather back up plan) . We provide our own sound equipment but we can use yours if it will work for us.
